True Design Ltd (trading as True Story) collects information from users of its website, potential clients and prospective employees, including the information you provide to us by submitting information to us through use of the site. We may keep track of this information for our internal review, business development, research, and marketing.
We may also use this information to solicit email for business development, research, marketing or promotional purposes or press inquiries. It is our practice to provide you with an opportunity to opt in for email communications and remove yourself from this distribution list by using the unsubscribe button at the end of any email. We store this information in our database and do not share it with third parties,

True Story may collect other types of anonymous data from website users through the use of “cookies,” which are text files that a website places on the hard drive of your computer that identifies you as a user. If you apply for a job at True Story
Personal data and some sensitive personal data are collected during the recruitment and selection process. This may be in response to an advert or a search on LinkedIn, and occasionally CV’s are received on a speculative basis without a specific vacancy in mind.
The data is collected by the HR department at True Story. The data is collected so that it may be used by HR and the relevant line manager to carry out a recruitment and selection process. Successful candidates will be offered a position and on acceptance become employees whose data is then collected and processed for the proper management of the employment contract.
Data collected and stored is:
• Personal details such as name address date of birth, telephone number, e mail address
• Education and employment history including qualifications gained.
• Details on any disability you have requiring reasonable adjustments during the recruitment exercise
• Notes taken during any interview
If there is no suitable vacancy currently available or if your application is unsuccessful, with your consent, your data will be stored for a maximum of 2 years and may be used again to consider you for future suitable vacancies that may arise during that time frame.
After 2 years the data is considered out of date and therefore will be deleted if stored electronically or securely destroyed in the case of manual files.
You will be asked to consent specifically to True Story using your data in this way. You are not obliged to consent and if you do not reply to say that you consent to us storing your data, it will be destroyed securely or deleted immediately.
Security
True Story protects your personal information with several security measures. In addition to normal precautions such as physical security and firewalls, we have strict internal security policies.
Information sharing and disclosure
True Story does not share or disclose information about you.
We will only provide the information collected in the event we are required to provide such information by a court, administrative or governmental order or other legal process.
